Welcome to the Museum of Military History web site!  The collection was formed in 1978 as a way to honor the men and women of all nations and times who have defended their countries and beliefs.  In the United States, we enjoy unprecedented freedoms.  We must never forget that freedom is not free.  Hundreds of thousands of brave men and women have selflessly served in defense of our country over the course of our history.  Many of these people made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy our freedom today.  Thousands more are on active service around the globe far from their homes and loved ones.  We must always remember their sacrifice and devotion to duty.  This collection is devoted to their memory so that WE will never forget!

Through this web site, we hope to highlight items in our collection and the stories of the people who owned or used these artifacts.  You will also find links to general military history of various periods.  While the focus in on United States military history, items in the collection span the globe and date from ancient times through the present day.  The collection contains hundreds of military related artifacts, including uniforms, photographs, insignia, letters, and documents.  In addition to the various eras of military history, we also present special sections on the history of aviation and space exploration, plus a section on the history of the Civil Air Patrol.  Please use the navigation buttons at the left to explore our site.

We are always looking for items to add to the collection.  We believe it is vitally important to preserve both the artifacts as well as the stories behind them.  Unfortunately, it's often the case as veterans pass on that many of their stories go unrecorded and are lost forever, while most of their military artifacts eventually end up in antique dealers shelves and are also forever separated.  We believe it's extremely important for these stories and artifacts to be preserved for future generations so they will not forget the meanings of sacrifice and service.  If you have any military related item you would consider adding to our collection, please contact us at the E-mail address below.  We would be most grateful!

Thank you again for stopping by and we hope you enjoy your visit!  Please visit us again as we are constantly updating and adding to this site.

This site is dedicated to the memory of Colonel Samuel C. Grashio, a survivor of the Bataan Death March and a greatly missed friend and mentor.  May we always be blessed with friends of such character, wisdom, and strength.
