Bombadier-Navigator-Dentist
Early USAF service coat used by Capt E. D. Ebbeson.  Capt Ebbeson was a bombadier assigned to the 398th Bombardment Group in Europe during World War II.  Following the war, he became a dentist and remained in the Air Force reserve.  He was recalled to active duty during the Korean War.  It's very rare for an officer to be both rated and a medical doctor.  However, even today there are a handful of officers in the US Air Force who serve as both rated aircrew (pilots and navigators) and medical doctors.

Close-up of Capt Ebbeson's badges and ribbons.  Included are sterling silver USAF navigator wings, sterling silver dental corps badge, Air Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, USAF Longevity Service Award, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and UN Korean Service Medal.
